Numerica sets new monthly lending record

Valley-based credit union's performance driven by growth in multiple channels

June 18, 2026
Matt Stephens

Numerica Credit Union reached a new milestone earlier this year, funding $114.8 million in loans in March, the highest monthly total in the Spokane Valley-based institution's history.

The record performance was driven by growth across multiple lending channels, including business services, dealer services, retail lending, home lending, and digital lending, according to a June 18 press release.

"This milestone is a significant achievement and represents years of strategic investment in our people, technology, products, and member experience," says Numerica President and CEO Carla Cicero in the release. "What makes me most proud of this lending growth is the impact behind it. Our core purpose of enhancing lives, fulfilling dreams, and building communities is reflected in every loan that helps a member achieve a goal, grow a business, or reach an important financial milestone."

Since Cicero joined Numerica in 2012, membership has increased from about 93,000 members to 178,000 members, while total assets have grown from $1.19 billion to over $4.2 billion.

The financial institution's growth has supported continued investment in member services, including enhanced digital banking capabilities, expanded ATM access, new savings tools, and new branch locations.

Most recently, Numerica broke ground on its 24th branch in Moses Lake, further expanding its presence in central Washington.

Beyond financial services, Numerica has also increased its visibility through community investments and sponsorships. Recent examples include the Numerica Veterans Arena naming partnership and the Numerica Heroes Fund, a 10-year, $1 million commitment supporting veteran and military service organizations throughout the region.

In May, Numerica identified its funding priorities for the Heroes Fund, including veteran housing and homelessness prevention, mental health and peer support, employment and financial stability, and more.

Separately, Numerica announced in June that it is investing $532,000 to 23 nonprofits across Eastern Washington and North Idaho through its annual Numerica Charitable Fund.

Numerica is the second largest credit union in Spokane County, according to the Journal's latest Spokane-Area Credit Unions list. As of June 10, Numerica had over 52,000 members in Spokane County and 25,000 members in Kootenai County.
