National transportation engineering and planning company Kittelson & Associates Inc. has relocated its Spokane office to the eighth floor of the Bank of America building, at 601 W. Riverside.

The move to downtown from its previous office location at 202 E. Spokane Falls Blvd. provides a workspace that supports the firm’s growing team while making it easier to collaborate with clients, partners, and community members throughout Eastern Washington, according to a company press release.

Since establishing a Spokane location three years ago, the firm has taken on projects throughout the Inland Northwest and Eastern Washington to help reshape and improve the region’s roadways.

As previously reported by the Journal, Kittelson & Associates assembled the Spokane Regional Transportation Council’s Regional Safety Plan and traffic calming projects in the West Central area that help restore infrastructure and make the neighborhood walkable and safe. Kittelson is also consulting on the 27 by 2027 Urban Mobility Network project that is creating 27 miles of fully connected, safe walking and bicycling routes that link all quadrants of Spokane.

“We’re excited about what this new office means for our Spokane team,” says senior principal planner Wende Wilber. “As we welcome a new engineer and summer intern, this space gives us more room to collaborate and continue building strong connections with our clients and community.”

Founded in Portland, Oregon, in 1985, Kittelson & Associates is a national transportation engineering and planning firm with 27 offices and over 400 employees across the U.S.
