Draper, Utah-based Kelso Industries has acquired Spokane-based Clearwater Construction & Management LLC, expanding the national contractor’s construction capabilities and adding a Pacific Northwest company to its growing portfolio.
Financial terms of the transaction weren’t disclosed.
The acquisition brings Clearwater’s general contracting, design-build, and structural concrete capabilities into Kelso’s network of companies. Kelso specializes in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other nationwide building services, according to the company website.
Clearwater’s ability to self-perform much of its construction work complements those services and gives the combined companies an opportunity to provide a broader range of work, Kelso says in a press release.
Clearwater, located at 5711 W. Garden Springs Road, has completed more than 60 projects throughout the Pacific Northwest, according to its website. Its portfolio includes water and wastewater treatment facilities, bridges, reservoirs, utility tunnels, dams, fish hatcheries, combined sewer overflow projects, and industrial construction.
The Clearwater acquisition continues an aggressive expansion strategy for Kelso. The company reported last fall that it had reached $1 billion in annual revenue and completed 31 acquisitions in over 30 states.
