InkLab Screen Print Studio gears up in Post Falls

Richard Larkins decided it was time for a change. After nearly a decade of working in the financial collections sector, much of it in California, he’d had enough, says his wife, Jennilea Larkins.

“He was done with it. Absolutely done,” she says.

So, he decided to go back to an old hobby of his and recently turned it into a business. The couple started InkLab Screen Print Studio, in Post Falls, in roughly 1,100 square feet of space at 2753 W. Seltice Way.

InkLab Screen Print Studio does vinyl heat transfers, embroidery, banners, logos and graphic design and custom screen printing.

She says the company has found a niche among businesses and organizations seeking signage, logos, and fliers.

“I would say our largest number of clients come from general contractors and landscapers who want to get their business’ name, maybe an employee’s name, and a logo on their work uniform,” she says.

The couple are InkLab’s only employees for the moment.

She laughs and says, “He quickly doubled the number of employees he has when he taught me. I absolutely love this. I tend to consider myself an artistic person, but I never thought I’d be doing something like this.”

Larkins says they’ve built a client base in a short period through social media and word-of-mouth advertising.

“I think what we do works really well for a community like ours,” she says.
