AristaPoint establishes office in Spokane

Specialty insurance agency plans to double staffing

October 10, 2019

Kirkland, Washington-based AristaPoint, an insurance agency and private group market administrator, has opened a new Spokane office in the historic Flour Mill, at 621 W. Mallon, says CEO Patrick Chestnut.

The new office will include full-time consulting and account service departments dedicated to Spokane-area clients and specialists will travel from the company’s headquarters on a roughly biweekly basis, Chestnut says.

Blake Kurtzman, AristaPoint’s marketing and communications officer, says the company plans to have three employees to start out in the roughly 1,000-square-foot office space that underwent minor tenant improvements earlier this year. Chestnut adds that the company plans to double its staff companywide within the next 12 months.

The Spokane office, which will serve as the company’s first regional office, will cover the Inland Northwest and Palouse regions, Chestnut says.

“Spokane is a really good, centralized place for us to work from,” he says.

Chestnut, who is a Spokane native and has family in the area, adds that both he and team members had been making trips from the company’s headquarters to the Inland Northwest regularly, so establishing an office made sense for the company.

AristaPoint’s next step is to establish a regional office in the Vancouver, Washington area, Chestnut says, the process for which he anticipates will start around the beginning of 2020. The company also plans to set up an office in Phoenix, he says.

AristaPoint is a sponsor of the CEOtoCEO Breakfast series, which brings area CEOs, business owners, and executives together once a quarter to hear top speakers on business topics. The event is hosted at The Spokane Club downtown.

Chestnut says the Federal Bureau of Investigations cyberterrorism team was the speaker for last quarter’s event, and that the company plans to host an economic forecast in January with Grant Forsyth, chief economist for Avista Corp.

AristaPoint was founded in 2002 as AAOA Healthcare. It develops software for association health plan administrations created specifically to provide an administrative guideline for group medical, dental, vision, and life coverage.
