Liberty Lake podiatry practice planned

Veteran physician expects to open office in early June

Liberty Lake Foot & Ankle, a new podiatry practice, is set to open this summer in Liberty Lake.

Spokane podiatrist Dr. Kevin Dow owns the new clinic, which will be located in a 1,500-square-foot, leased space in the Liberty Lake Business Center at 23505 E. Appleway.

“We just signed the lease and hope to be ready to open by early June,” says Dow. “It’s full steam ahead right now.”

Originally from Canada, Dow studied podiatry at Kent State University’s College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, and completed his residency at Legacy Health, in Portland, Ore.

Dow first came to Spokane in 2009 and has spent the last 10 years practicing podiatry here, most recently with Spokane Orthopedics PLLC.

“After 10 years in practice, I just feel like I’m ready to do my own thing,” he says. “The Liberty Lake area is a beautiful area that’s growing, and I thought it’d be the perfect place to set up shop.”

He says Camden Hayes, a friend and Spokane-based contractor, is remodeling the space to suit the clinic’s needs.

“We’ve already walled this side off again, and we’re just starting the build out work now,” Dow says. “We’re planning to have a lobby with a waiting area, four treatment rooms, and an X-ray room.”

The clinic space previously was occupied by Salon Capello, which has recently moved to a smaller, neighboring space.

Dow says the clinic likely will have a three-person support staff consisting of an office manager, a receptionist, and a medical assistant.

He says the clinic will offer a full range of podiatric services, including orthotic inserts and both surgical as well as nonsurgical care of both the foot and ankle.

”I’m a fairly surgical podiatrist,” he says. “But I want us to be a full-service clinic, so we’ll offer everything from shoe inserts and bunions to total ankle replacement.”

Dow says he is licensed to practice in both Washington and Idaho and will accept patients from both states.
