The Mango Tree Indian Kitchen & Tap House is slated to open by May in the 5,300-square-foot space occupied until recently by the Hills Restaurant & Lounge, at 401 W. Main, says Casey Garland, Mango Tree operations manager.

Mango Tree will employ 10 to 15 staff members, Garland says. Depending on success at the downtown location, owner SAK Restaurant Group might eventually open three or four Mango Trees in the Spokane area, Garland says. 

The company also operates a Mango Tree restaurant in Coeur d’Alene.
