Zaycon Fresh suspends operations

Company cites 'recent challenges' in brief statement

June 26, 2018
Linn Parish

Zaycon Foods LLC, a Spokane Valley-based, national meat delivery business that does business as Zaycon Fresh, has suspended operations.

As of 9 a.m. PDT this morning, June 26, the company’s homepage had a message that said, “It is with deep regret that we inform you that as of June 25th, we are suspending business operations. Zaycon Fresh has put forth monumental efforts to endure recent challenges but conditions are such that this suspended operations.”

The company also said updates will be forthcoming and listed an email address, [email protected], as contact information. As of publication, the company hadn’t responded to a media inquiry sent to that address.

The Washington state Secretary of State website lists Adam Kremin as the registered agent for Zaycon Foods, which is located at 16201 E. Indiana in Spokane Valley. Kremin is also listed as a governing person for the corporation, along with Frank Maresca and Mike Conrad. When the Journal last reported on Zaycon, in August of 2013, Conrad served as the company’s president, and Kremin was its vice president. Conrad and Kremin are cousins.

Founded in 2009, Zaycon has had an unusual business model through which customers preordered fresh meats—and seafood at times—and picked up orders at a designated place and time from the back of a Zaycon truck. The company had grown quickly into a multimillion-dollar operation with thousands of events in cities through all 48 continental U.S. states.
