Globe Bar & Kitchen adds outdoor patio

The Globe Bar & Kitchen has added a new outdoor patio that it debuted earlier this month on the south side of the restaurant.

Located at 204 N. Division, the popular downtown bar and restaurant is owned by Scott Wilburn, who purchased it from its previous owners last May.

Globe spokeswoman Shaniqua Nilles says the patio project was designed by Spokane-based Russell Page Architects and built by Tru-Edge Renovations.

“We created this space to fulfill customer demand for outdoor seating,” Nilles says. “When the weather is nice, people really enjoy outdoor spaces, and we wanted to be able to provide that for our customers here.”

Nilles says the elevated patio, which includes about 600 square feet of space, can seat up to 70 people at tables with umbrellas, as well as a rail bench.

The Globe currently has about 26 employees and is looking to hire three to four new employees to assist with patio service, she says.
