Restaurants & Retail: Artcos Coffee slated along Hamilton

Spokane business owner Jason Everman says he plans to open a new commercial roasting and café space later this month, to be called Arctos Coffee, at 1923 N. Hamilton, in the Logan neighborhood.

“I started out roasting small batches of coffee in a garden shed in my backyard,” he says. “Over time, I discovered I had a passion for it and eventually decided I needed a larger commercial space.”

Everman is a teacher at local Christian school and owner of Grind House Espresso, a drive-thru coffee stand that opened in 2012 at 8015 E. Trent.

He says the 1,400-square-foot space on Hamilton was formerly an auto detailer garage space, but he and his father have been working to remodel it.

He plans to hire at least five employees to help with operations.
