Industry veterans form Vista Title & Escrow

New company acquires assets of old Stewart office here

October 26, 2017

Vista Title & Escrow Co., a recently formed Spokane-based estate title and escrow company, has opened its first office.

Jessica White, business development and sales manager for Vista Title, says the company was created last month by a group of local investors who acquired the assets of Stewart Title of Spokane LLC, a subsidiary of Houston-based Stewart Title Co. Vista Title since has moved into Stewart’s former 6,000-square-foot office space in the Park Center Building, at 908 N. Howard, just north of downtown Spokane.

White says Anthony Carollo, former president of Stewart Title of Spokane, now serves as Vista Title’s CEO. She says Vista Title currently employs 13 other people, all of whom have experience in the title and escrow industry.

“This is not simply a name change,” says White. “We’re an entirely new company with a new culture, new leadership, and a new commitment to the community.”

Title companies research the ownership of real estate subject to transactions and insure against title disputes. Such companies also maintain escrow accounts, which hold funds temporarily until certain conditions of transactions are fulfilled.

“The majority of our title and escrow services cover Spokane County, although we can offer some escrow services in other counties,” she says.

While the company is focused on maintaining its client base, White says Vista does hope to grow.

“Our overall focus is on creating the best customer experience possible,” she says. “But eventually, we would like to grow into a regional company.”
