Les Schwab proposes Liberty Lake shop

New building to have six service bays, tire storage, showroom

August 25, 2022

A new commercial permit application has been filed with the city of Liberty Lake with construction plans for a 12,000 square-foot Les Schwab Tire Center, according to information filed with the city.

Site plans call for the construction of a two-story concrete commercial building that will be located at 22401 E. Appleway, northwest of the STCU Administrative Offices at 1620 N. Signal, in Liberty Lake’s Appleway District.

The construction value for the tire center is estimated at $869,000, according to permit data.

Site plans call for a new concrete building with a showroom, offices, six bays, and tire storage.

Corey Boucher, architect with Billings, Montana-based Cushing Terrell, is listed as the project’s architect. Cushing Terrell is a multi-disciplinary architecture firm that provides building design, visualization, planning, and engineering services.

The firm has offices in Seattle and Boise, Idaho.

Permit data shows Cushing Terrell is also the project’s engineer. No contractor is listed yet for the project.

Boucher couldn’t be reached immediately for comment.

According to information from the Spokane County Assessor’s website, the project site is within a 31-acre parcel of land owned by Bellevue, Washington-based Bloch Liberty Lake LLC, which purchased the land in December 2019 for $16.2 million.

Bloch Liberty Lake, which does business as Bloch Property Management, is a commercial real estate investment and management company.

The company also manages the five-story, Spokane Valley-based River View Corporate Center, located south of the Spokane River at 16201 E. Indiana Avenue, which was constructed by Spokane developer Walt Worthy.
