Kiemle & Hagood creates scholarship fund for HVAC students

Program aims to promote building-maintenance skills

Spokane-based commercial real estate brokerage Kiemle & Hagood Co. recently created the Ed Kiemle Memorial Scholarship Fund through the Community Colleges of Spokane Foundation Endowment Fund.

The endowed scholarship program will award two $500 scholarships annually to students enrolled in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration program at Spokane Community College.

K&H Facility Services, a subsidiary of Kiemle & Hagood, employs a number of graduates of the SCC HVAC/R program.

The scholarship program is named in honor of Kiemle & Hagood Co.’s cofounder.

“Ed Kiemle was the consummate property manager and a firm believer in a well-trained maintenance staff,” Larry Soehren, Kiemle & Hagood president and CEO, says in a press release. “He always had high expectations of his team and knew the value of a highly trained building engineer, often the most visible face of the management company to tenants.”

Kiemle & Hagood manages more than 7 million square feet of space and provides service expertise in sales and leasing, facility management, development and consulting, and tenant representation.
