Rudeen Developments affiliate plans 107-unit rental complex

Northwood Heights project valued at over $13 million

June 4, 2015
Mike McLean

An affiliate of Liberty Lake-based Rudeen Developments LLC is developing a $13.1 million, 107-unit apartment complex in the Northwood area east of Spokane, according to building permit information on file with Spokane County.

Kevin Rudeen, CEO of Rudeen Developments, couldn’t be reached for comment.

However, the developer is listed on building permit information as Northwood Heights LLC, which shares the same address with Rudeen Developments.

Rudeen Developments, a prominent Inland Northwest apartment builder and manager, also is listed as the general contractor for the project.

The Northwood Heights project is being developed on a 6-acre parcel of land at the southwest corner of Argonne Road and Columbia Drive, about a mile north of the Spokane River.

Spokane County has issued building permits for seven three-story apartment buildings with nine to 18 units each, and a single-story office and community building.

The Northwood Heights apartment buildings will range in size from 16,200 to 20,300 square feet of space, and the community building will have 2,500 square feet of space, permit information shows.

The project also includes two seven-stall parking garages, and 10 multistall carport structures, permit information shows.

Other apartment complexes developed recently by Rudeen Developments and its affiliates include the $24 million, 228-unit Mirabolante Apartments, in Spokane Valley; the $18 million, 197-unit Riverview Apartments complex; and the $4.4 million, 48-unit Villas at Riverview, both in west Coeur d’Alene.
