Staff Report

Key Tronic Corp., the Spokane Valley-based electronic services manufacturer, reported this afternoon net income of $1.4 million, or 12 cents a diluted share, for the fourth quarter of its fiscal year ended June 28. That’s down from $2.4 million, or 21 cents a share, in the year-earlier quarter.

The lower earnings came on total quarterly revenues of $72.1 million, down from $84.6 million in the year-earlier period.

For all of its 2014 fiscal year, Key Tronic posted earnings of $7.6 million, or 67 cents a share, down from $12.6 million, or $1.12 a share, in the year-earlier period.

Its full-year revenues came in at $305.4 million, compared with $361 million in fiscal 2013.

Craig Gates, president and CEO of Key Tronic, said in a press release, “While fiscal 2014 was a challenging year with respect to our total revenue, we continued to make significant progress in ramping up our new programs, expanding our customer base, and extending our capabilities.”

Gates also said, “We continue to see a robust pipeline of potential new business and have further diversified our future revenue base during the fourth quarter by winning new customer programs involving health care, HVAC, and gaming products.”
