Tool sharpener in Valley to move to larger building

Pro Cut to add services with small-engine repair

May 22, 2014
Mike McLean

Alcamo Inc., which does business as Pro Cut Saw & Tool, a Spokane Valley tool-sharpening concern, has bought a 14,000-square-foot building at 18909 E. Appleway, where it plans to move from smaller quarters a half-mile west of there.

John Alcamo, who owns the company, says he plans to expand services to include small-engine and power-tool repair.

Pro Cut currently occupies 2,000 square feet of floor space at 202 N. Greenacres Road, where the company employs eight people, Alcamo says.

“We’re out of room and working on top of each other,” he says.

Alcamo says Pro Cut Saw & Tool plans to hire three additional employees this summer.

He also owns and operates toolsandbits.com, which handles online sales of drill and router bits, saw blades, cutting tools, and power tools. Toolsandbits.com also will move to the Appleway location from the Greenacres Road site, he says.

Spokane commercial real estate broker Doug Byrd, of Byrd Real Estate Group LLC, handled the transaction.

Rite Aid Corp., the Camp Hill, Pa.-based drug store chain, has leased 900 square feet of space for a new pharmacy in the Providence Medical Park, at 16528 E. Desmet Court. Ron Horton and James G. Quigley, both of Kiemle & Hagood Co., handled the transaction.

Heritage Health, a Coeur d’Alene-based health care services provider, has leased 1,000 square feet of office space at 610 W. Hubbard in Coeur d’Alene for counseling services. Jim Koon, of NAI Black, and Josh Beebe, of Kiemle & Hagood Co., handled the lease.

Comcast/Xfinity, has leased 3,800 square feet of floor space in a multitenant retail building at 4423 N. Division for a new sales and service center. Colin Conway, of Kiemle & Hagood Co., and Matthew Knowles and Steve Ridenour, both of CB Richard Ellis Group Inc., handled the transaction.
