Windermere/City Group to move to Kendall Yards

Location gives brokerage room to grow, river view

May 8, 2014
Mike McLean

Windermere Real Estate/City Group LLC, of Spokane, plans to move its offices this summer to the Kendall Yards urban village development northwest of downtown, says Joe Garst, the franchise’s owner and designated broker.

The new offices will occupy about 5,300 square feet of floor space in the two-story, two-tenant building at 1237 W. Summit Parkway in which Spa Paradiso occupies 13,000 square of space, Garst says.

Windermere City Group’s space will feature floor-to-ceiling glass walls to take advantage of the views of the Spokane River, the Monroe Street Bridge, and the downtown skyline, he says, adding, “The idea is to have a nice place for agents to conduct business, with room for growth.”

The agency plans to move into the building in late July, Garst says.

Windermere City Group currently has 22 agents and occupies just over 3,000 square feet of leased space on the ground floor of a three-story building at 908 N. Howard.

Windermere City Group specializes in residential real estate transactions, Garst says. He adds, however, that the agency has one commercial real estate broker.

The agency hopes to add 10 more agents this year, including two commercial real estate agents, says Garst, who bought part ownership of the Windermere franchise in 2008 and bought out minority owners in 2011.

Office Space

Inland Pacific Engineering & Construction Inc., a Spokane Valley geotechnical engineering consultant, has leased 1,300 square feet of space in the Spokane Business & Industrial Park, at 3008 N. Sullivan Road, and has moved there from smaller quarters at 2528 N. Sullivan Road. Dean Stuart, of Crown West Realty LLC, and Mike Meyer, of Coldwell Banker Tomlinson, handled the transaction.

Core Financial Group LLC, a new Spokane Valley financial planning and investment firm, has leased 1,200 square feet of office space in the River Rock Professional Center, at 420 N. Evergreen Road. Marc Mowrer, of Kiemle & Hagood Co., handled the transaction.

Growth & Expansion

RJCB Investments LLC, the land-holding company for Liberty Lake-based R ’n R RV Centers, has bought 3 acres of land adjacent to the RV dealership at 23203 E Knox and plans eventually to expand the facility there. Guy Byrd, of Cornerstone Property Advisors LLC, brokered the transaction.
