An affiliate of Spokane development company GVD Northwest LLC is converting the former Burgans Fine Furniture block north of downtown into a residential and commercial complex. Mauer Construction Inc., of Spokane, is the contractor on the $6.8 million project, and Bernardo|Wills Architect PC, of Spokane, designed it.
