Spokane Gymnastics buys former Valley fitness facility

Business plans to expand as it relocates in phases to its own larger building

October 24, 2013
Mike McLean

Spokane Gymnastics Enterprises LLC, of Spokane, has bought a 28,000-square-foot commercial building at 2515 N. Locust, just east of the Argonne Village Shopping Center in Spokane Valley, says Nadine Burgess, the owner of the business.

Beginning in November, Spokane Gymnastics will move its operations there in phases, Burgess says.

The business currently occupies 11,000 square feet of space at 5616 E. Broadway, where it has two years remaining on its lease, she says.

Spokane Gymnastics employs five full-time and 20 part-time coaches, Burgess says.

Burgess says she plans to expand the staff to 10 to 12 full-time coaches and 25 to 35 part-time coaches as the business grows into the larger space, formerly occupied by Stroh's Family Fitness Center.

Spokane Gymnastics currently serves more than 1,000 students, up from 125 when it opened seven years ago, she says.

Burgess says she has owned Spokane Gymnastics for three years.

Commercial real estate agents Doug Byrd of Byrd Real Estate Group LLC, of Spokane, and Stephen Ridenour, of the Spokane office of Los Angeles-based CB Richard Ellis Group Inc., negotiated the transaction.

Rivelle LLC, the real estate holding affiliate of Post Falls-based StanCraft Marine Center, has bought the former Specialty Marine complex of six 12,000-square-foot warehouse buildings at 50383 N. Old Highway 95 in Rathdrum, Idaho, and plans to use the facilities for boat storage. Wayne Burton and Craig Hunter, both of Coldwell Banker Schneidmiller Realty, handled the transaction.

RAR Holdings LLC, of Spokane Valley, has bought as an investment a 7,700-square-foot commercial building at 9208 E. Sprague that's occupied by a U.S. Bank branch. Colin Conway, Casey Brazil, and Steve McIntosh, all of Kiemle & Hagood Co., handled the transaction.

KEA Properties, of Renton, Wash., the real estate holding arm of Renton-based ATS Automation Inc., has bought a 6,600-square-foot, single-story office building at 9507 E. Sprague, and has moved its Spokane Valley outlet, ATS Inland NW LLC, there from leased space at 11829 E. Trent. Craig Soehren, of Kiemle & Hagood Co., and Doug Byrd, of Byrd Real Estate Group LLC, negotiated the transaction.
