Cd'A real estate concern opens luxury-property office

Third Schneidmiller office locates near resort, shops in Lake City's downtown

July 18, 2013
Mike McLean

Prominent Coeur d'Alene-based real estate brokerage Coldwell Banker Schneidmiller Realty has opened an office in downtown Coeur d'Alene, says Kelsey Anfenson, the brokerage's office manager.

The new office, which occupies 2,500 square feet of leased space, is on the main floor of the Johnston Building, at the northwest corner of Sherman Avenue and Second Street. The building is cater-cornered from the Resort Plaza Shops and a block north of the Coeur d'Alene Resort.

The Hagadone Corp., of Coeur d'Alene, owns the Johnston Building, and is the parent company of the Coeur d'Alene Resort and the Resort Plaza Shops.

The main floor of the 108-year-old Johnston Building, which most recently was occupied by two retail businesses, has been remodeled and updated, Anfenson says.

The office focuses on resort properties and the luxury residential market.

Anfenson says 15 agents are based at the Johnston Building office. The brokerage has 115 agents in all.

Coldwell Banker Schneidmiller Realty has two other offices, both northwest of downtown Coeur d'Alene. The brokerage's main office is at 1924 Northwest Blvd., and its commercial division is in an adjacent building at 2000 Northwest Blvd.

Retail

Nutrishop, an Ontario, Calif.-based sports-nutrition and weight-loss retail chain, has leased 1,000 square feet of space for a new outlet at 3516 N. Government Way, in Coeur d'Alene. Jim Koon, of Century 21 Beutler & Associates, handled the transaction.

Postal Annex , a San Diego-based franchise shipping and mailbox-rental operation, has leased 1,140 square feet of retail space at 9030 Hess, in Hayden, and plans to move its Hayden outlet there from 101 W. Prairie. Jim Koon, of Century 21 Beutler & Associates, handled the transaction.

Services

Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, the financial planning affiliate of Charlotte, N.C.-based Merrill Lynch & Co., has leased 7,400 square feet of office space at 1221 W. Emma, in Coeur d'Alene, and plans to move its Coeur d'Alene office there from leased space at 1038 Northwest Blvd. Jim Koon, of Century 21 Beutler & Associates, and Cory Barbieri, of Goodale & Barbieri Co., handled the transaction.

Heads & Tails Photography, a portrait and pinup photo studio, has leased 1,100 square feet of office space at 28 W. Indiana and has moved there from leased space at 7406 E. Sprague. Don Jamieson, of NAI Black, handled the transaction.

Paws & Claws LLC, a Coeur d'Alene pet day care and boarding facility, has bought a 3,700-square foot building at 460 W. Clayton, in Coeur d'Alene, and plans to move there from smaller, leased quarters at 2900 N. Government Way. Craig Hunter and Rob Kannapien, both of Coldwell Banker Schneidmiller Realty, handled the transaction.

Church

Portico Christian Fellowship, of Spokane, has bought the 2,700-square-foot former Jehovah's Witness church building at 11912 E. Empire and has moved its services there from the Southside Senior & Community Center, at 3151 E. 27th. Mike King and Earl Engle, both of NAI Black, and Katie DeBill, of Windermere Real Estate Spokane-Manito, handled the transaction.
