Professional building eyed at 29th Avenue, Southeast Boulevard

Plans filed with city call for $1.5 million structure on old dental office site

April 11, 2013

Wolfe Architectural Group, of Spokane, has filed with the city of Spokane plans for a 20,000-square-foot, $1.5 million professional office building in the Lincoln Heights neighborhood, on Spokane's South Hill.

The planning documents say construction is expected to start this summer on the structure at 2420 E. 29th, at the southwest corner of 29th Avenue and Southeast Boulevard.

Architectural renderings attached to the city documents depict building signs with the names of Dr. Scott Ralph and Dr. Angie DDS, but a contact with Wolfe Architectural Group couldn't be reached to confirm planned tenants. An orthodontist here, Scott Ralph, who has offices in Liberty Lake and on the South Hill, couldn't be reached for comment.

The building plans call for demolishing a one-story office building on the proposed development site that previously was occupied by the Bryan Finn DDS PS dental practice, now at 3223 E. 57th., the practice's website says.

The documents filed with the city propose construction of a lower-level parking garage and two stories above that. Site work would include parking lot modifications and road access improvements.

The filing for a predevelopment conference also lists as project owners Steve Schmautz and 29th Street Investments LLC.
