Ferguson Bath debuts expanded showroom

Company adds lighting to its product mix, builds working room displays

February 16, 2012
Mike McLean

Ferguson Bath, Kitchen & Lighting Gallery recently completed an expansion that triples the size of its showroom in Spokane Valley.

The expansion adds 4,000 square feet to the showroom, located at 2304 N. Dollar Road, enabling Ferguson to roll out a selection of lighting fixtures, including chandeliers and sconces, says Shannon Wertman, the showroom manager here.

The expansion also enables Ferguson to carry larger inventories of fireplaces and kitchen and bath appliances in addition to its traditional plumbing products and fixtures, Wertman says.

The showroom includes a fully functional kitchen, which will host cooking classes and other events, she says. In the bath side, the showroom also has a plumbed display shower to demonstrate body-spray, steam, and jet features, Wertman says.

Appliance brands that Ferguson carries include Jenn-Air, Sub-Zero, and Maytag.

The showroom displays many upscale products, although Ferguson handles products for all types of homes, from apartment units to multimillion-dollar vacation residences, Wertman says.

John Donaldson Construction Inc., of Ventura, Calif., was the contractor on the project.

Ferguson has been located at the Dollar Road site for eight years and currently employs 20 people there. It's part of a national chain owned by Ferguson Enterprises Inc., of Newport News, Va.

Ferguson Fire & Fabrication Inc., a national chain that operates an outlet at 6110 E. Broadway, in Spokane Valley, is another Ferguson Enterprises affiliate here.
