The Holiday Inn Express, just north of downtown Spokane at 801 N. Division, will receive an exterior upgrade that gives tribute to the style of historic homes in Spokane. Vandervert Construction Inc., of Spokane, is expected to begin work this fall on the remodel for the 119-guest-room hotel. The $1.5 million project also will add about 2,200 square feet to the lobby and breakfast area and a 1,600-square-foot deck.
