
Dr. David Hoak, medical director of Spokane Valley-based InCyte Pathology Inc., has been elected president of the American Pathology Foundation, a nonprofit professional society headquartered in Laguna Beach, Calif.
The American Pathology Foundation provides educational programs and practice management resources to members across the U.S., including pathology practice managers and administrators, as well as pathologists in hospitals, independent labs, academia, and in private practice.
Hoak, the foundation's 41st president, began his two-year term earlier this month.
Hoak joined InCyte Pathology in 1993. He is board certified in cytopathology, anatomic, and clinical pathology, with a subspecialty interest in prostate and genitourinary pathology. He received his medical degree from Northwestern School of Medicine, and has served on the American Medical Association's Practice Expense Advisory Committee.
