A crane gently lowers a massive section of girder onto a concrete pier that will help support one of two bridges across Wandermere Road that will connect the North Spokane Corridor to U.S. 395 at the freeway's most northern point. Graham Construction & Management Inc., of Spokane Valley, is the contractor on that $37.5 million portion of the north-south freeway project, which also includes final grading and paving of the freeway section between U.S. 2 and Wandermere Road. That portion of the project is expected to be completed in the fall of 2011.
