Spokane Urology to move to Iron Bridge Office Campus

Practice plans to combine clinics at U District park

Representatives of Spokane Urology PS medical practice say the group plans to move both of its Spokane offices in January to newly remodeled space in the Iron Bridge Office Campus.

Practice administrator Todd Kinsel says Spokane Urology purchased the two-story, 24,000-square-foot building at 1401 E. Trent in June.

Though Kinsel declines to disclose the cost of the building, Washington state Department of Revenue records show the Iron Bridge Urologic LLC paid $3.9 million for the property.

Kinsel says the group is working with Spokane-based Ramey Construction Co. to remodel the building’s second floor to suit its office needs.

Construction permits on file with the city of Spokane show the remodel is estimated at $250,000 and involves removing some existing walls and constructing new office and exam room spaces on the building’s 11,100-square-foot second floor.

The Spokane office of Omaha, Neb.-based engineering and architecture company HDR Inc. occupies the first floor of the building, and Kinsel says HDR plans to continue to lease its current space.

Spokane Urology has two offices—a lower South Hill office on the first floor of the Providence Medical Center Building, at 820 S. McClellan, and a North Side office at the Holy Family Medical Building, at 235 E. Rowan.

Kinsel says the group has a total of about 40 employees between the two offices, all of whom will move to the new space at Iron Bridge.

“Plans for the move are still up in the air, but we’d likely be moving both offices to the new space within a two-week period,” he says.

Kinsel says the move will bring the two clinics into one space and allow room for future growth.

Kent Hull, managing partner at Iron Bridge Office Campus, declines to comment on new tenants or upcoming projects taking place there.

The Iron Bridge Office Campus is a six-building office park located on 23 acres of property along the Spokane River. In all, the buildings there have 255,000 square feet of floor space. 

The campus is east of downtown, near the University District, and two blocks from the Interstate 90-Hamilton Street interchange. Campus amenities include walking trails, 1,600 linear feet of river frontage, access to University District via the historical Iron Bridge, and on-site parking.
