Horizon Credit Union, of Spokane, says it has teamed up with Digital Insight, a unit of big software maker Intuit Inc., to provide customers with online financial management software.
Called FinanceWorks, the Quicken-based software helps consumers manage their bank and credit union accounts, set up bill-pay reminders, and track their spending by category. The product can be accessed by Horizon customers through the credit union's online banking site.
"Since the recent economic situation, we've noticed a shift in the way our members are managing their finances," says Brian Grytdal, vice president for marketing. "Many of them are trying to be more careful with their money and how they spend it. FinanceWorks can help them do that. It provides members with a safe place to view account information, see where their money is going, and help create and manage a budget."
Horizon Credit Union has more than 30,000 members and 17 branches here, in North Idaho, and in Central Washington. It was formed in Spokane in 1947 as Kaiser Employees Federal Credit Union.
