Scoop Troop LLC, a Spokane-based business that provides dog-waste removal services, has acquired Dooky’s Pet Waste Removal, says Scoop Troop co-founder and president William Milliken.

The $54,000 acquisition took effect July 1 and helps expand the company’s capabilities, resources, and geographic coverage, says Milliken.

The company has also moved from its original Spokane Valley location to a 2,500-square-foot office at 3302 E. Sprague, in the East Central neighborhood. The new location has a 10,000-square-foot parking area to accommodate the company’s 17 mobile trucks, says Milliken.

As part of the acquisition, John Simon, founder of Dooky’s has agreed to join Scoop Troop as the company’s expansion manager. In that role, Simon will focus on growing the company throughout the Pacific Northwest.

In April, Scoop Troop expanded its reach to Seattle where it currently operates two trucks, says Milliken. The company is projected to generate between $1.3 million and $1.5 million in revenue this year, he says.

Scoop Troop was founded in 2020 by Milliken and Levi Swartz. The company currently has over 1,500 customers and about a dozen employees, says Milliken.
