 Washington Trust Bank has hired Stefanie Sproule as its community relations and impact strategist. Sproule will oversee Washington Trust’s community relations strategy, which will include sponsorship, volunteer opportunities, charitable giving, and support bank-wide and local marketing initiatives.

Cancer Care Northwest has hired Nicole Falkin as a nurse practitioner. Falkin has over 12 years of oncology experience.

Eastern Washington-based Providence has hired, from left, Dr. Jared Maybee, Dr. Kelsi Cook, Naaman Griffin, and Dr. Chelsea Bremer as behavioral health service providers. Maybee specializes in treating adults who have mental health conditions. Cook is experienced in providing psychological evaluations and evidence-based treatment for psychological health conditions. Griffin provides psychiatric mental health services to adults. Bremer specializes in providing psychological assessments and evidence-based treatments to children and adolescents.

Inland Pacific Associated Builders and Contractors has hired, from left, Karyssa Basin as membership and events coordinator and Braden Boletti as safety manager. Bastin previously worked as an Olive Garden server and Boletti previously was with Cornerstone Building Brands, a window manufacturing plant.

BakeMark Spokane, a manufacturer and distributor of baking goods, has hired, from left, Dane Rice as its key account manager and Mike Bruyer as its operation manager. Rice previously worked as director of sales with Thomas Cattle Company and Bruyer previously worked as the operations manager for Spokane Produce. 



Leigh-Veidman_web.jpgUnited Soccer League Spokane has hired Leigh Veidman as first head coach of its USL League One professional men’s Spokane Velocity FC team. Veidman was previously an assistant coach with the Charleston Battery of the USL Championship. 


Awards & Designations

Spokane HOPE, a nonprofit organization for deaf and hard of hearing children, has appointed Michele Greenwood, audiologist with Providence Ear, Nose & Throat, and Dr. Tamara Simmerman, pediatrician with Providence Pediatrics as board members.  


Steinway Piano Gallery of Spokane has nominated Roger McVey of the University of Idaho into the Steinway & Sons Music Teacher Hall of Fame, a designation that recognizes the work of North America’s most committed piano educators. 


The Association of Washington Business awarded Spokane Valley-based Wagstaff Inc., a leader in the aluminum manufacturing industry, as Manufacturer of the Year and  AccraFab, a Spokane Valley-based fabrication and contract manufacturer, as Employer of the Year. 


American Banker magazine, a publication designed for financial industry professionals, included STCU employee Linsey Myhre on its Most Powerful Women in Credit Unions 2023 list. 


Providence named Sean Douglas, chief financial officer of Providence Clinical Network in Eastern Washington and Montana, a Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, a distinction awarded to applicants who have fulfilled specific requirements within the healthcare industry.  


Philanthropy

Spokane’s Alliant Insurance Services has awarded Second Harvest, an Inland Northwest nonprofit food bank, $10,000 to fund weekend meals and snacks for an entire year to 56 kids enrolled in their Bite2Go program.  

 

Global Credit Union Foundation’s 2023 Cash for Cans donation drive raised more than $110, 000 in the month of September and has distributed more than $23,000 to food banks and pantries in Washington.
