The Journal of Business has selected its honorees for the 24 People of Influence in 2024 awards. 

The honorees are, in alphabetical order:

  • Stacey Cowles, president, Cowles Co.

  • Marty Dickinson, chief marketing officer, STCU.
  • Katie Harnetiaux, president, USL Spokane.
  • Jack Heath, president and chief operating officer, Washington Trust Bank.
  • Steve Helmbrecht, president and CEO, Treasury4 Inc.
  • John J. Hemmingson, CEO, Lakeside Cos.
  • Natasha Hill, attorney and editor of The Black Lens. 
  • Alex Jackson, chief executive for the Inland Northwest region, MultiCare Health System.
  • Thayne McCulloh, president, Gonzaga University. 
  • Darby McLean, CEO, Spiceology Inc. 
  • Charlotte Nemec, CEO, Canopy Credit Union.
  • Juli Norris, owner, Lorèn and Kasa Restaurant & Taphouse. 
  • Shelly O'Quinn, CEO, Innovia Foundation. 
  • Vange Ocasio Hochheimer, economist, Whitworth University. 
  •  Heather Rosentrater, president, Avista Corp.
  • Tom Simpson, CEO, Ignite Northwest. 
  • Susan Stacey, chief executive, Providence INW.

  • Jordan Tampien, co-founder, 4 Degrees Real Estate Inc. 
  • Betsy Wilkerson, Council president, city of Spokane. 

To be recognized among the People of Influence, candidates must be decision makers in the Spokane-Coeur d'Alene area who are working to improve quality of life in the Inland Northwest. In addition to thought leaders and industry innovators, honorees are people who give back, both in the business world and the community at large.

The 2024 People of Influence will be recognized during an in-person event on Wednesday, Jan. 24, at the Spokane Club. Tickets are currently on sale on the Journal's website.
