Gee Automotive to build vehicle repair garage

Structure to occupy site near company's Liberty Lake dealerships

April 25, 2024
Dylan Harris

Gee Automotive Liberty Lake LLC, an affiliate of the Gee Automotive Cos. dealerships, plans to build a vehicle repair garage at 1750 N. Pepper Lane, in Liberty Lake, permit information shows.

The 25,000-square-foot building will be constructed on a 1.4-acre parcel of vacant land just south of the Best Western Plus Liberty Lake Inn, to the northeast of the four Gee Automotive dealerships located along Interstate 90.

According to a building permit application on file with the city of Liberty Lake, the total project valuation is about $2.2 million.

A building permit for the footings and foundation for the building has been issued. It lists Hayden-based StanCraft Construction Group as the contractor.

Gee Automotive is seeking a separate building permit to build the structure. It doesn’t list a contractor, but it was applied for by Axis Design Group Architecture & Engineering Inc., of Portland, Oregon, and lists Spokane-based Storhaug Engineering Inc. as the project engineer.

The permits show that the vehicle repair garage will include a mezzanine.

A representative of Gee Automotive couldn’t be reached immediately for comment.

Gee Automotive was founded in 1983 in Spokane.

The company has nearly 40 dealerships, including four in Liberty Lake and three in Coeur d’Alene.
