Dahls start Alpha-LIT Spokane/Cd'A

From her full-time home in Detroit, Spokane native Hannah Dahl has assembled a team here to launch her business, Alpha-LIT Spokane/CDA.

Dahl’s event-centered business rents out approximately four-foot-high lettering adorned with lights for special occasions. Her Instagram page highlights images of birthday parties, marriage proposals, weddings, and baby showers.

Dahl showed off her own display in Coeur d’Alene last month when she married Joe Dahl, a University High School graduate and Washington State University football player who is now an offensive lineman with the NFL’s Detroit Lions.

Dahl says she’s one of several people who joined forces with Mackenzie Skipper, who is the wife of another Lions lineman, Dan Skipper.

Dahl says the Skippers married in Texas when Dan played briefly with the Houston Texans football team. Mackenzie searched in vain to find the lettering she wanted on display at her wedding.

“It was during that process she realized there was a total market for what she was trying to do,” Dahl says.

Not long after, Skipper began reaching out to wives of her husband’s current and past teammates and began franchising her idea with them.

Dahl says Alpha-LIT Spokane/CDA has booked and received inquiries about events extending as far out as a year from now.

“It’s been doing a lot better than I would’ve imagined,” she says.
