2024 home Sales, prices up in Spokane, Coeur d'Alene areas

The number of single-family homes sold in the Spokane area in 2024 totaled 5,650, up 2% over the number of homes sold in 2023, according to that latest monthly activity report from Spokane Realtors.

Meantime, homes sold in Kootenai County totaled 2,450, up over 13% compared with year-earlier sales, according to a separate report from Coeur d’Alene Regional Realtors.

In the Spokane market, the median price for a single-family home sold in December was $415,000, up 10.7% compared with the year-earlier month.

Inventory at the end of December totaled 856 units, which represents a 2.2-month supply, up slightly from a year earlier, according to Spokane Realtors’ data.

In the Kootenai County market, the median home price in December, was $526,500, up 0.3% compared with December 2023, Coeur d'Alene Regional Realtors' data shows.

Inventory in Kootenai County at year-end totaled 718 units, up 9.1% compared with year-earlier inventory. Homes sold in Kootenai County in December were on the market an average of 96 days, up 5.5% compared with the year-earlier month.
