DoubleTree by Hilton Spokane City Center hotel has been purchased by Spokane Hotel LLC for $35 million, Washington state tax records show.

Spokane Hotel is an affiliate of San Francisco-based commercial real estate development and investment company JMA Ventures LLC, according to records on file with the Washington state Department of Revenue.

JMA Ventures is partnering with Boise-based Resolute Road Hospitality to manage the property, according to a press release provided by DoubleTree.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Spokane City Center, which has a total of 375 guest rooms, is located at 322 N. Spokane Falls Court, in downtown Spokane, west of First Interstate Center for the Arts.

In addition to its guest rooms, the hotel houses 17 meeting rooms with over 21,700 square feet of meeting space, an outdoor pool, fitness center, business center, and onsite dining at Spencer's For Steaks & Chops.

JMA Ventures has a history of acquiring and developing properties, including historic buildings, hotels, and resorts, and plans to make a "significant investment" to update the hotel, according to the release.

Jan Smidek, a partner at JMA Ventures, says in the release that upcoming renovations will refresh and modernize the meeting and conference spaces, public areas, and guest rooms.

JMA Ventures, founded in 1986, has 18 properties operating in five states and the Caribbean region in its portfolio.

Gary Horton, president of Resolute Road Hospitality, says in the release, "The DoubleTree's strategic positioning, connected to Spokane's 300,000-square-foot convention center and close proximity to several colleges and universities ... combined with a multitude of outdoor recreation activities, makes it a great addition to our portfolio."

Resolute Road Hospitality manages 24 properties in its portfolio, with locations in Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, Texas, and Tennessee, according to its website.
