4 Degrees joins global real estate brokerage

35 agents here can use eXp Realty's tech tools

Prominent Spokane brokerage 4 Degrees Real Estate has joined Bellingham, Washington-based eXp Realty, which bills itself as the largest independent real estate company in the world.

The 10-year-old 4 Degrees agency, currently based at 915 W. Second, brings 35 agents into the eXp fold, with more agents expected to join in the coming weeks, says 4 Degrees co-founder Jordan Tampien.

Tampien, his brother and co-founder Joel Tampien, and Steve James will continue to lead 4 Degrees.

Jordan Tampien, who’s involved in several other Spokane-area real estate investment and development companies, says the new partnership involves only the residential brokerage.

“We were starting to see costs rise for technology,” he says. “We had to decide whether to join a larger firm. This partnership would give our agents access to cutting-edge technology … and long-term financial benefits.”

Tampien declines to disclose specific terms of the transaction other than to say, “We did get some stock consideration as more of an incentive to bring us over.”

He says the Spokane agency will continue to operate under its current name.

“To the public, it’s still 4 Degrees,” he says. “We’re still selling and still in the same building. All we wanted is to get some horsepower.”

4 Degrees is now listed as a trade name of eXp Realty LLC, in Washington state Department of Revenue business license information.

Noor Marzook, vice president of global marketing and communications for eXp Realty, says eXp expands through organic growth rather than through acquisitions. Such a partnership “empowers entrepreneurial leaders to join on their own terms, maximizing flexibility and autonomy,” she says.

4 Degrees logged sales of 755 units valued at over $306 million in 2024.

A core subsidiary of eXp World Holdings Inc., eXp Realty has nearly 83,000 agents in 25 countries.
