$8.5M apartment project underway in Spokane Valley

The project is expected to be completed in late this year or early in 2026

Construction is underway in Spokane Valley on a 42-unit apartment building valued at $8.5 million.

The new three-story building, dubbed the Mason Apartment Complex, is rising at 11802 E. Main, about two blocks west of Pines Road, says Chad Everhart, the project’s owner.

Everhart, owner of Spokane-based Evcon Construction LLC, is the contractor for the project. Fusion Architecture PLLC, of Spokane, is designing the project.

“The building’s foundations are being poured right now,” Everhart says. “We expect to complete it in late 2025, early 2026.”

The total square footage of the building is about 36,000 square feet, says Everhart. The units in the building will all be two-bedroom, two-bathroom dwellings, ranging in size from 900 square feet to 1,100 square feet. Each unit will be equipped with an in-unit washer and dryer and feature upscale finishes such as quartz countertops, he adds. Everhart plans to eventually build carports on the property, but until then, residents will be able to find street parking, he says.

The units will be leased at market rate. Everhart says he’ll oversee leasing of the property.

Records with the Spokane County Assessor’s Office show that Everhart purchased the nearly one-acre property in October for $585,000.

Everhart says he’s owned and leased several properties over the years. However, the Mason Apartment Complex is the first project he has set out to build from the ground up. He’s been planning the project for about eight years, he says.

Soon after Evcon has finished building the apartment building, Everhard is planning to start construction on another 32-unit project, also in the Valley, he says.
