Nordstrom Inc. is planning to open a Nordstrom Rack store at Northpointe Plaza in fall 2026, according to a press release from the Seattle-based fashion retailer.

Northpointe Plaza, owned and managed by Indianapolis-based Kite Realty Group, is located on the Newport Highway, just northeast of the Division Street Y and south of Hawthorne Road. The complex includes 350,000 square feet of retail space, and its anchor tenants include Target, Dick's Sporting Goods, TJ Maxx, Safeway, and Total Wine & More, among others, according to Kite Realty's website. 

Nordstrom Rack, the off-price retail division of Nordstrom Inc., will occupy a 31,000-square-foot store at the North Spokane property.

"We're excited to grow our footprint in the Spokane market and introduce new customers to the Nordstrom experience," says Gemma Lionello, president of Nordstrom Rack, in the release.

The addition will increase the company's physical footprint in Washington state to six Nordstrom stores and a dozen Nordstrom Rack stores, including a Nordstrom Rack at Spokane Valley Plaza near the Spokane Valley Mall. 

"We're thrilled to welcome Nordstrom Rack to Northpointe Plaza," says Karly Kilroy, vice president and senior leasing director at Kite Realty Group, adding that the store is expected to strengthen the property's position as a go-to shopping center destination.
