Construction is underway for a new Grocery Outlet store in Deer Park, at 507 W. Crawford, that's expected to open in fall 2026.
The 16,000-square-foot store will be situated west of Highway 395, near the Tractor Supply Co., according to a press release sent to the Journal by Kevin Edwards, of Spokane-based Hawkins & Edwards Inc.
The grocery store is being built and developed by Spokane-based Garco Construction Inc. in partnership with Hawkins & Edwards, the release says. The Detroit office of NORR is listed as the architect on a commercial permit application on file with the city of Deer Park.
The project has an estimated construction cost of $1.3 million, according permit application information.
The nearly 4-acre vacant site where the store will be constructed was purchased in July 2025 for $500,000 by Spokane-based DPSC LLC, tax information on file with Spokane County shows.
The Deer Park Grocery Outlet will be the eighth location in the Spokane-Coeur d’Alene area. The company currently has two stores in Spokane and one each in Spokane Valley, Cheney, Airway Heights, Post Falls, and Coeur d’Alene.
Based in Emeryville, California, Grocery Outlet has more than 560 stores across 16 states, according to the company's third-quarter financial results press release.
