Spokane-based ALSC Architects has promoted three employees. Owen Turnbull has been promoted to associate from senior project designer and project architect. Robin Pecka has been promoted to associate from senior interior designer. Tyler Kavanaugh has been promoted to associate from project architect.
Spokane-based Witherspoon Brajcich McPhee PLLC has hired Clay Leland as an attorney. Leland previously served as an attorney for the Montana Secretary of State, in Helena, Montana.
Cleveland-based CrossCountry Mortgage has hired Raena Pinchuk as sales manager in Coeur d’Alene and Pacific Northwest markets. Pinchuk formerly worked for Irvine, California-based loanDepot, under the same title.

GLR Engineers has expanded its Spokane office with a promotion and a new hire. Jeremy Sink has been promoted to building information modeling manager from Revit designer. Nathan Huestis has been hired as structural designer. Huestis previously worked for Kartchner Engineering as building information modeling manager.
Awards & Designations

Kootenai Health has welcomed Kim Ransier and Tag Jacklin to its board of directors. Ransier formerly served as executive director at Hospice of North Idaho. Jacklin serves as president and CEO of Medalist Development and Jacklin Northwest.
Moussa “Moses” Jaraysi has been appointed to the Eastern Washington University Board of Trustees. Jaraysi is a retired environmental and civil engineer who lives in the Tri-Cities.
Tony Havens, a Lewis-Clark State College alumnus and history teacher at Sacajawea Middle School, has been selected as the 2026 Outstanding Teacher Educator by the LC State's Teacher Education & Mathematics Division.
The Washington State Department of Commerce has awarded more than $60 million for clean energy and grid resilience projects across the state, with five recipients in Spokane. Spokane County has received $325,000 for its commercial renewable energy study and development code. Spokane University District Public Development Authority has been awarded $343,000 for a feasibility study for a cooperatively-owned geothermal system. Spokane Conservation District had been granted $100,000 for a biomass gasification feasibility study. The City of Spokane has received two technical assistance awards to support feasibility studies for Spokane City Hall and the Northeast Community Center. A third technical assistance award is supporting a feasibility study for Spokane Community College.
Sixteen students from the Spokane Falls Community College graphic design program were acknowledged at the 2026 Local American Advertising Awards. Recognized for their excellence in advertising, design, and visual communications, the student award recipients were: Caya Berndt, Jadyn Grace Berry, Kennedy Comstock, Gavin Davis, Kayla Gilb, Randy Heath, Avery Hudson, Anastasiya Kim, Courtney Owen, Joseph Pruitt, Raiden Reed, Ella Schelley, Sabrina “Atticus” Shallbetter, Mathew Shields, Evelina Tischenko, and Larsen Woods.
Visit Spokane has named Six Bridges Arts Association and its founder, Bill Burke, as recipients of its 2026 Placemaker Award, in recognition of the association’s former annual Pig Out in the Park event.
Jason Johnson, of 509 Wealth Management, has been designated as a Forbes Best In-State Wealth Adviser.
Indigenous Eats, a Spokane restaurant and food business serving contemporary Native American comfort food, has received an Amex Shop Small grant from American Express. The $20,000 grant will be used to support Native Trivia Nights and other cultural events at Indigenous Eats restaurants.
