The Ridgeline Center commercial development is expected to be tenant-ready by April 2027.
| Bernardo Wills Architects PCConstruction is underway on the Ridgeline Center, a multitenant commercial development located at 19601 E. Appleway, in Liberty Lake.
Once erected, a 15,000-square-foot building will house a mix of medical, office, and retail tenants along the fast-growing Appleway corridor, says contractor Jared Silvey, owner of Spokane Valley-based Silvey Construction Inc.
The development is located on a 2-acre vacant lot northwest of Ridgeline High School, at 20150 E. Country Vista Drive, and southeast of Liberty Lake Powersports LLC, which does business as Allsport Polaris/Honda, Silvey says.
The property will be accessible from Appleway Avenue to the south and Broadway Avenue to the west, according to a project site plan.
The project is valued at $2.2 million, permit information on file with the city of Liberty Lake shows.
“This was one of the few really good pieces of ground with good freeway visibility that was available (in Liberty Lake), and so that's why we approached that landowner to help them develop their property,” he explains.
Silvey Construction is the general contractor, and Spokane-based Bernardo Wills Architects PC is the architect, he says. Crews broke ground in April and are currently framing the building, says Silvey. Construction is expected to wrap up by April 2027.
Design plans call for a mix of brick, cement, and metal panels for a low-maintenance exterior facade, in addition to 50 parking spaces and landscaping, Silvey says.
Spokane-based commercial real estate brokerage Daines Capital LLC is leasing the Ridgeline Center property, Silvey adds. A medical and dental user is expected to sign a lease for 2,600 square feet of space before the end of June and will be the first tenant to do so.
Customizable tenant spaces can be combined to meet business needs, he adds. The total number of expected tenants is dependent on customer demand.
Spokane Valley-based real property investment company Appleway & Broadway LLC owns the property, according to Washington state tax information.
Spokane Valley-based Legacy Group Development LLC is a development partner on the project, Silvey notes, adding that Silvey Construction is part of Legacy Group Development’s ownership group.
Following the completion of phase one, phases two and three likely will consist of two similar buildings to be constructed directly north of the first building, bordering Interstate 90, Silvey says.
Silvey Construction developed a similar business park about 1 1/2 miles east of the Ridgeline Center project. Tenants at the four-building development on Country Vista Drive include Spokane-based The Children’s Choice Pediatric Dentistry; Bangkok Thai, operated by BK Company LLC; GOLFTEC, operated by Englewood, Colorado-based GOLFTEC Enterprises LLC; Palenque Mexican Restaurant, operated by Liberty Lake-based Ceresero & Gomez Corp.; and a Numerica Credit Union branch.
“We like the neighborhood, and we've been working on (this project) for quite a while to make it come to fruition,” Silvey says. “We're excited about it.”
