August 2026 Meals on Wheels menus

Meals on Wheels Spokane and Mid-City Concerns Senior Center

Meals on Wheels Spokane provides meals for individuals 60 years of age and over living within the Spokane City limits. The typical meal delivery window is between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday through Friday. Remember to put out a cooler with frozen ice packs.

The Mid-City Concerns Senior Center provides meals to members 60 years of age and older. The suggested donation is $5 per lunch; $25 annual memberships are also available for purchase. The senior center, located at 1222 W. Second in Spokane, serves meals at 11:30 a.m. unless stated otherwise.

The home delivery and senior center menus are the same with the exception of the second Friday of each month, when the senior center celebrates birthdays or holds special events.

Barbecue chicken, brown rice, peas and carrots.

Tuesday, Aug. 4

Macaroni and cheese, broccoli, mandarin oranges.

Wednesday, Aug. 5

Glazed ham, red potatoes, carrots.

Thursday, Aug. 6

Shepherd’s pie, veggies, mashed potatoes, pears.

Friday, Aug. 7

Mushroom stroganoff, mixed veggies.

Monday, Aug. 10

Biscuits and gravy, applesauce.

Tuesday, Aug. 11

Chicken parmesan, spaghetti, green beans.

Wednesday, Aug. 12

Chickpea tikka masala, rice, capri veggies.

Thursday, Aug. 13

Chicken alfredo with parmesan, zucchini.

Friday, Aug. 14

Chili with cheese, cornbread.

Monday, Aug. 17

Meatballs, mashed potatoes with gravy, squash.

Tuesday, Aug. 18

Teriyaki chicken, white rice, broccoli.

Wednesday, Aug. 19

Pasta primavera with marinara, capri veggies.

Thursday, Aug. 20

Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans.

Friday, Aug. 21

Chicken enchilada with cheese, rice and beans, corn.

Monday, Aug. 24

Chicken-fried steak, mashed potatoes, green peas.

Tuesday, Aug. 25

Chicken thighs, couscous, chuckwagon veggies.

Wednesday, Aug. 26

Turkey spaghetti with parmesan, green beans.

Thursday, Aug. 27

Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes with gravy, carrots.

Friday, Aug. 28

Chili macaroni with cheese, peaches.

Monday, Aug. 31

Barbecue chicken, brown rice, peas and carrots.

 

Meals on Wheels Greater Spokane County and Senior Cafés

Meals on Wheels Greater Spokane County provides meals for individuals 60 years of age and older living in Spokane County. All home-delivery meals include vegetables, fruit, grain, and milk or juice.

To apply for meals, visit www.mowgsc.org/get-meals or call (509)924-6976.

Individuals 60 years of age and older can connect with others over a meal at any of Meals on Wheels Greater Spokane County's 13 Senior Cafés throughout Spokane County. All Senior Cafés serve meals from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. unless stated otherwise. Those who lack a means of transportation can contact Meals on Wheels Greater Spokane County for a bus pass.

All Senior Café meals include a soup and salad of the day, and milk and juice.

Pesto tortellini, grilled chicken, baked carrots.

Thursday, Aug. 13

Turkey chili with corn chips and cheese, steamed broccoli.

Friday, Aug. 14

Cheeseburger, roasted potatoes, peas and carrots.

Monday, Aug. 17

Chicken parmesan, polenta, green beans.

Tuesday, Aug. 18

Pork loin with apple glaze, baked potato wedges, steamed cabbage.

Wednesday, Aug. 19

Roast beef and swiss, coleslaw.

Thursday, Aug. 20

Beef stew, baked carrots, biscuits.

Friday, Aug. 21

Cobb salad, bread sticks.

Monday, Aug. 24

Tuna noodle casserole, steamed mixed vegetables.

Tuesday, Aug. 25

Stuffed pepper casserole, Southwest corn and bean mix.

Wednesday, Aug. 26

Chicken salad on a croissant, carrot salad.

Thursday, Aug. 27

Pulled pork, barbecue beans, coleslaw.

Friday, Aug. 28

Chicken enchiladas, Spanish rice, mixed vegetables.
