September 2026 Meals on Wheels menus

Meals on Wheels Spokane and Mid-City Concerns Senior Center

Meals on Wheels Spokane provides meals for individuals 60 years of age and over living within the Spokane City limits. The typical meal delivery window is between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday through Friday. Remember to put out a cooler with frozen ice packs.

The Mid-City Concerns Senior Center provides meals to members 60 years of age and older. The suggested donation is $5 per lunch; $25 annual memberships are also available for purchase. The senior center, located at 1222 W. Second in Spokane, serves meals at 11:30 a.m. unless stated otherwise.

The home delivery and senior center menus are the same with the exception of the second Friday of each month, when the senior center celebrates birthdays or holds special events.

Glazed ham, red potatoes, carrots.

Thursday, Sept. 3

Shepherd’s pie, mashed potatoes, pears.

Friday, Sept. 4

Mushroom stroganoff, egg noodles, mixed veggies.

Monday, Sept. 7

Tuesday, Sept. 8

Chicken parmesan, spaghetti with marinara, green beans.

Wednesday, Sept. 9

Chickpea tikka masala, rice, capri veggies.

Thursday, Sept. 10

Chicken alfredo, penne pasta, zucchini.

Friday, Sept. 11

Chili with cheese, corn bread.

Monday, Sept. 14

CLOSED

Tuesday, Sept. 15

Teriyaki chicken, white rice, broccoli.

Wednesday, Sept. 16

Pasta primavera, applesauce.

Thursday, Sept. 17

Meatloaf, mashed potatoes with gravy, zucchini.

Friday, Sept. 18

Chicken enchilada, brown rice, beans, corn, cheese.

Monday, Sept. 21

Chicken-fried steak, mashed potatoes with gravy, peas.

Tuesday, Sept. 22

Chicken thighs, couscous, chuckwagon veggies.

Wednesday, Sept. 23

Spaghetti with turkey marinara, green beans.             

Thursday, Sept. 24

Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes with gravy, carrots.

Friday, Sept. 25

Chili macaroni, peaches.

Monday, Sept. 28            

Barbecue chicken, brown rice, peas and carrots.

Tuesday, Sept. 29 

Macaroni and cheese, broccoli, mandarin oranges.

Wednesday, Sept. 30

Glazed ham, red potatoes, carrots.

 

Meals on Wheels Greater Spokane County and Senior Cafés

Meals on Wheels Greater Spokane County provides meals for individuals 60 years of age and older living in Spokane County. All home-delivery meals include vegetables, fruit, grain, and milk or juice.

To apply for meals, visit mowgsc.org/get-meals or call (509)924-6976.

Individuals 60 years of age and older can connect with others over a meal at any of Meals on Wheels Greater Spokane County's 13 Senior Cafés throughout Spokane County. All Senior Cafés serve meals from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. unless stated otherwise. Those who lack a means of transportation can contact Meals on Wheels Greater Spokane County for a bus pass.

All Senior Café meals include a soup and salad of the day, and milk and juice.

Chicken cacciatore, whole wheat pasta, steamed zucchini.

Monday, Sept. 14

Barbecue chicken, brown rice, mixed vegetables.

Tuesday, Sept. 15

Salisbury steak with gravy, mashed potatoes, glazed carrots.

Wednesday, Sept. 16

Turkey tetrazzini, noodles, steamed zucchini.

Thursday, Sept. 17

Roast beef and cheddar on wheat, three bean salad.

Friday, Sept. 18

Baked whitefish, garlic rice, sweet potatoes.

Monday, Sept. 21

Salmon patty burger, baked beans.

Tuesday, Sept. 22

Chicken alfredo, whole wheat penne, broccoli.

Wednesday, Sept. 23

Chef salad, garlic breadstick.

Thursday, Sept. 24

Beef pot roast, dinner roll, slow-cooked carrots and onions, gravy.

Friday, Sept. 25

Barbecue pulled pork sandwich, baked sweet potato fries.

Monday, Sept. 28

Beef goulash, elbow macaroni, stewed green beans.

Tuesday, Sept. 29 

Turkey and provolone sandwich, pea salad.

Wednesday, Sept. 30

Baked chicken thighs, mashed potatoes, steamed zucchini.
