October 2026 Meals on Wheels menus

Meals on Wheels Spokane and Mid-City Concerns Senior Center

Meals on Wheels Spokane provides meals for individuals 60 years of age and over living within the Spokane City limits. The typical meal delivery window is between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday through Friday. Remember to put out a cooler with frozen ice packs.

The Mid-City Concerns Senior Center provides meals to members 60 years of age and older. The suggested donation is $5 per lunch; $25 annual memberships are also available for purchase. The senior center, located at 1222 W. Second in Spokane, serves meals at 11:30 a.m. unless stated otherwise.

The home delivery and senior center menus are the same with the exception of the second Friday of each month, when the senior center celebrates birthdays or holds special events.

Biscuits with sausage gravy, applesauce.

Wednesday, Oct. 7

Chickpea tikka masala, rice, capri veggies.

Thursday, Oct. 8

Chicken alfredo pasta, zucchini, parmesan.

Friday, Oct. 9

Chili with cheese, corn bread.

Monday, Oct. 12

Meatballs, mashed potatoes, green beans.

Tuesday, Oct. 13

Teriyaki chicken, white rice, veggies.

Wednesday, Oct. 14

Pasta primavera with parmesan, applesauce.

Thursday, Oct. 15

Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans.

Friday, Oct. 16

Chicken enchilada with cheese, rice, beans, corn.

Monday, Oct. 19

Chicken-fried steak, mashed potatoes, green peas.

Tuesday, Oct. 20

Chicken thighs, couscous, chuckwagon veggies.

Wednesday, Oct. 21

Turkey spaghetti with marinara, green beans.             

Thursday, Oct. 22

Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, carrots.

Friday, Oct. 23

Chili macaroni with cheese, peaches.

Monday, Oct. 26

Barbecue chicken, brown rice, peas and carrots.

Tuesday, Oct. 27

Macaroni and cheese, broccoli, mandarin oranges.

Wednesday, Oct. 28

Glazed ham, red potatoes, carrots.

Thursday, Oct. 29

Shepherd’s pie, mashed potatoes, pears.

Friday, Oct. 30

Mushroom stroganoff, mixed veggies.


Meals on Wheels Greater Spokane County and Senior Cafés

Meals on Wheels Greater Spokane County provides meals for individuals 60 years of age and older living in Spokane County. All home-delivery meals include vegetables, fruit, grain, and milk or juice.

To apply for meals, visit mowgsc.org/get-meals or call (509)924-6976.

Individuals 60 years of age and older can connect with others over a meal at any of Meals on Wheels Greater Spokane County's 13 Senior Cafés throughout Spokane County. All Senior Cafés serve meals from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. unless stated otherwise. Those who lack a means of transportation can contact Meals on Wheels Greater Spokane County for a bus pass.

All Senior Café meals include a soup and salad of the day, and milk and juice.

Vegetarian lentil stew, cornbread, steamed broccoli, pear slices.

Monday, Oct. 5

Chicken picatta with pasta, steamed zucchini, banana slices.

Tuesday, Oct. 6

Turkey salad wrap with flour tortilla, three bean salad, orange slices.

Wednesday, Oct. 7

Creamy tuna noodle casserole, peas, mushrooms, diced cantaloupe.

Thursday, Oct. 8

Slow-roasted pork loin, bread stuffing, low-sodium gravy, carrots, cranberry sauce.

Friday, Oct. 9

Chicken salad on greens, garlic breadstick, pickled beet salad, applesauce.

Monday, Oct. 12

Turkey chili, cornbread, steamed broccoli, orange slices.

Tuesday, Oct. 13

Salmon burger with honey lemon garlic glaze, bun, baked potato wedges, banana slices.

Wednesday, Oct. 14

Chicken enchiladas, spanish rice, corn, peach slices.

Thursday, Oct. 15

Baked pollock fish, lemon brown rice, butternut squash, apple slices.

Friday, Oct. 16

Chicken parmesan, spaghetti, low-sodium marinara, broccoli, banana slices.

Monday, Oct. 19

Baked fish sticks, baked beans, cinnamon apple slices.

Tuesday, Oct. 20

Beef stew, peas, carrots, biscuit, oranges.

Wednesday, Oct. 21

Turkey meatballs in gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, diced honeydew.

Thursday, Oct. 22

Swiss steak with tomato-onion gravy, potatoes, turnips, dinner roll.

Friday, Oct. 23

Barbeque pulled pork sandwich, macaroni salad, baked beans, fruit cup.

Monday, Oct. 26

Chicken pot pie stew, biscuit, carrots, peas, potatoes, diced cantaloupe.

Tuesday, Oct. 27

Baked tilapia, garlic rice, steamed zucchini, cinnamon apple slices.

Wednesday, Oct. 28

Sliced ham and Swiss sandwich, steamed baby carrots, banana slices.

Thursday, Oct. 29

Chicken Alfredo with penne pasta, broccoli, orange slices.

Friday, Oct. 30

Hearty black bean chicken chili, cornbread, broccoli, mandarin oranges.
