Silverlake Automotive, originally founded in Coeur d'Alene, has acquired Spokane Valley-based Northwest Automotive Centers.
| Matt StephensSilverlake Automotive has entered the Washington state market through its acquisition of Northwest Automotive Centers, at 324 N. Pines Road, in Spokane Valley.
The transaction expands Silverlake's footprint to six locations and marks its first acquisition since it was acquired early this year by Straightaway Tire & Auto LLC, a national full-service aftermarket automotive repair and service platfrom, according to a July press release from the company.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed, and a representative from Silverlake did not immediately respond to the Journal's request for comment.
The acquisition brings Northwest Automotive, a shop that has served Spokane Valley for more than 20 years under owner Jim Lambert, into the Silverlake network.
Finding a buyer that would continue the shop's reputation for quality workmanship and customer service was one of the most important considerations during the sale process, Lambert says in the press release.
"Finding the right successor for our business was incredibly important," Lambert says. "Silverlake shares our commitment to quality work, integrity, and taking care of people."
Joining Silverlake allows the business to preserve its legacy while becoming part of a growing organization that remains committed to local ownership and customer relationships, according to the release. For Silverlake, the acquisition also represents a milestone in the company's growth strategy.
Founded by Will and Rebecka Sando after purchasing their first repair shop in Coeur d'Alene in 2003, Silverlake has grown from a single independently-owned location into a regional automotive repair company serving customers across Idaho and now in Washington.
Northwest Automotive's longstanding reputation is a natural fit for the company's first Washington location, says Will Sando, brand president of Silverlake Automotive, in the release.
"Northwest Automotive has earned the trust of the Spokane Valley community through decades of outstanding service, and we're proud to welcome their team into the Silverlake family," Sando says. "Our commitment is simple: protect what Jim built, invest in the team, and continue serving customers the right way for years to come."
