White Brick Interiors opens in Cd'A

Restaurants & Retail

May 23, 2019
LeAnn Bjerken

Home décor store White Brick Interiors has opened in 2,000 square feet of leased space at 2055 N. Main, in Coeur d’Alene’s Riverstone Village.

The store is owned and operated by Griffen Turnbull, who says she has worked as an in-home interior designer, staging, and décor specialist for the past three years.

“I’ve always wanted to own my own store, and this felt like the perfect time to make that dream a reality,” she says.

Turnbull says the store specializes in small designer trends and bohemian home fashions, as well as Scandinavian and modern décor items. The store also includes custom women’s T-shirts, handmade pillows, blankets, dishware, smaller furniture, and decorative signs.

“We offer a mix of products from local makers and designers alongside bigger brands,” she says. “I’m pretty proud to be able to help promote the design talent we have here locally.”

In addition to offering locally made products, the store also will serve as a drop-off location for Project Beauty Share and will work with
other nonprofits.

Turnbull says her husband, Cory Turnbull, of CDA Commercial Real Estate-Select Properties, helped negotiate her lease of the space and has also been helping her improve the shop’s interior.

“It’s was just the two of us and my stepfather, building shelving, clothes racks, and a front desk space,”
she says.
