Blink Lash Boutique coming to downtown Spokane

Blink Lash Boutique, a new eyelash extension shop, is scheduled to open this weekend in the former Inked tattoo space at 310 W. First, in downtown Spokane.

Jen Pearson, who co-owns the business with her friend Janelle Koch, says the shop plans a grand opening Saturday, Dec. 8, and will begin taking eyelash clients the following week.

“Janelle is from Spokane originally, and it’s always been her dream to bring our business to this area,” says Pearson.

Pearson says the Spokane store has three employees so far; one manager and two lash artists.

“We’re starting small but eventually we want to have about seven employees,” she says. “Janelle and I will also each be taking clients here part time, splitting our time between our other locations.”

She and Koch are both licensed estheticians who already operate two Blink Lash Boutique stores in the San Diego area, Pearson says.

“I’m from San Diego, which was where I met Janelle,” Pearson says. “She’d already been doing lashes for a few years and helped train me. We started our first Blink location in 2008, so this will be our third location.”

Pearson says the Spokane store occupies 1,100 square feet of leased space that has been remodeled to include a lobby, a lash area with five table stations, and an eyebrow bar.

“Our specialty is eyelash extensions, but we also offer lash lifts and tinting, as well as brow and facial waxing,” she says. “We also plan to carry some retail products like jewelry, candles, makeup, and tea.”
