Spokane Home Builders Association's fall festival to showcase 32 homes

Scattered-site show attracts 20 contractors

The Spokane Home Builders Association will hold its 12th annual Fall Festival of Homes during the next two weekends.

This year’s festival will feature 32 homes constructed by 20 builders, says Nichole Kerns, a spokeswoman for the association.

Hours for the free event will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept. 23-25 and Sept. 30-Oct. 2.

All home show sites are located in Spokane County except for one, which is in Pend Oreille County.

“It’s a nice opportunity to see neighborhoods you might not be familiar with,” Kerns says.

This year’s event features homes varying in price from $236,900 to $649,900, she says.

All homes entered in the festival are new and have been built since last year’s show. Nearly all of the homes are for sale, although a few have been presold or custom built, Kerns says.

The festival will have two host sites with show information. One will be at Eagle Ridge, in south Spokane, and the other will be in the River District, in Liberty Lake. Show maps are available at the host sites.

She encourages people planning to visit festival homes to download SHBA’s new smartphone app, which has separate house-shaped icons for entries in north and south Spokane, Liberty Lake, and Valley areas.

The app has festival entry descriptions and driving directions to each home.

People’s choice ballots are all digital through the app, Kerns says.

Links to the show program, maps, the app, and builder information are posted at spokanefestivalofhomes.com.

The Spokane Home Builders Association is a trade group that advocates for the home construction industry. It has members in seven Eastern Washington counties.
