Maid Naturally agrees to buy Valley structure

Home cleaner to move its operations next month

June 2, 2016

Spokane-based Maid Naturally plans to purchase an 8,600-square-foot building in Spokane Valley and to move there on July 11 from Spokane’s North Side, says Nathan Brown, head of product sales and purchasing for the company.

The cleaning service company’s purchase of the building at 104 N. Hutchinson Road is expected to be completed on June 15, says Brown. The company currently leases 3,100 square feet of space at 3012 N. Nevada. Brown says Maid Naturally chose to move into the building “just to own something.”

“We’ve been in business for 10 years, and we’ve never had a down year, so we figured it’s just time to take possession of something that we can have as an asset long term if the availability and opportunity was right,” he says.

Brown declines to disclose the company’s annual revenue, but he says it grew by nearly 10 percent last year.

Maid Naturally was founded here in 2006 by owners Heather Brown and Ruthanne Eberly. In addition to cleaning homes, the company manufactures and sells chemical-free, environmentally friendly cleaning products, says Brown.

“We do all of the manufacturing of the products at our facility, so moving to an 8,600-square-foot building will be a great advantage for us,” he says.

A 2010 article from the Journal of Business says Maid Naturally was cleaning about 200 homes per month at that time. Now, Brown says that number now is up to about 440 houses per month throughout the Spokane area, and the numbers are increasing steadily.

The company employs 25 people, he says.
