Moses Lake company buys two complexes on Spokane's North Side

$17.9 million transaction includes 300 apartments

Moses Lake-based real estate investment company 5D Holdings LLC has bought for $17.9 million two apartment complexes with a total of 300 living units on Spokane’s North Side.

The complexes are the Serrano Apartments, located at 121 E. Wedgewood, and the nearby Wedgewood Park Apartments, at 212 E. Wedgewood, says Travis Gold, a spokesman for Summerfield Commercial Real Estate Services LLC.

Bellevue-based Summerfield represented the seller, Seattle-based Goodman Real Estate Inc., in the transaction, Gold says, adding that Spokane-based 4 Degrees Realty represented the buyer.

The complexes are located a couple blocks east of Division Street, just east of the Sportsman’s Warehouse sporting goods store and the former site of a Lowe’s Cos. home improvement store.

The Serrano Apartments complex has nine buildings with a total of 180 units and was built in 1984. It has a mix of two-bedroom and three-bedroom units with an average size of 900 square feet of space.

The 120-unit Wedgewood Apart-ments complex was built in 1981 and has a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom units with an average of 750 square feet of living space.

Retail & Investment

Appleway Group LLC, a newly formed recreational-vehicle dealership, has bought a 4,500-square-foot building formerly occupied by Peerless Dental, at 7204 E. Sprague, and an adjacent lot at 7210 E. Sprague. Doug Byrd and Sharon Reynolds, both of Byrd Real Estate Group LLC, and Mark Lucas, of Kiemle & Hagood Co., handled the transaction.

Honeysuckle Properties LLC, of Hayden, has bought as an investment an 8,700-square-foot multitenant retail building at 914 E. Mission. Erik Nelson and Casey Brazil, both of Kiemle & Hagood Co., handled the transaction.

Contracting & Services

Flat Top Roofing & Construction Inc., a roofing contractor formerly based in Post Falls, has leased 1,300 square feet of space in the Spokane Business & Industrial Park, at 3808 N. Sullivan Road. Chase Breckner, of Crown West Realty Inc., handled the transaction.

The Grounds Guys of Spokane Valley, a landscape and yard-maintenance franchise unit of Waco, Texas-based Dwyer Group Inc., has bought a 6,100-square-foot building on nearly 2 acres of land at 12411 E. Empire for its Spokane-area operations. Vic Overholser, of SDS Realty Inc., and Rebecca Usai, of John L. Scott Real Estate, handled the transaction.
