Storage Solutions Spokane starts $2 million addition

-

October 8, 2015

Storage Solutions Spokane LLC has begun construction of a three-story, mini-storage addition to its property at 4200 S. Cheney Spokane Road.

The storage business currently has approximately 100,000 square feet of storage space. The expansion would add a 30,000-square-foot heated addition along the property’s north side, connecting with an existing building at the northwest corner of the property.

Storage Solutions owner and President Brian Layton says the company just recently started work on the project, which is expected to cost about $2 million.

“We’ve been here 15 years or so. It was just time to grow,” says Layton. “It’s about diversifying, trying to meet more of our customers’ needs.”

Contractor for the project is Gerald Higgins Management LLC, of Chattaroy, and the project’s architect is Jerry Shogan, of Colbert.

Boydston Engineering & Associates, of Deer Park, along with RSP Structural Systems LLC of Spokane, are the engineers for the project, and L&S Engineering Associates of Spokane will complete the project’s electrical needs. Layton estimates that the addition will be completed in December.
